  Luca  Scacchetti was born in Milan in 1952. 
   
          In 1975 he  graduated in Architecture at the Milan Polytechnics, where since 1976 he has  being teaching Architectural Composition. 
  Since  1987, he has been teaching Architectural Design at the Architecture Department  at the Design European Institute in Milan, from 1990 to 1995 he was  Architecture Department Director at the same school. 
   
  Since  1993, he has been teachingArchitecture and Planning at the Brera Accademia di  Belle Arti in Milan. 
   
  He  wrote reports and articles on the change of architectural language and on the  relationship between modernism and tradition, besides many papers on different  topics on the history of architecture and design methodology.He took part in  many meetings and conferences in Italy, Europe, East Asia and United States and  he is liable for experimental cultural events and research for the  "Abitare il tempo" furnishing exhibition in Verona. 
   
          Throughout  his career, he designed many public and private buildings, residential or  commercial, offices and hotels both in Italy and abroad. 
           
  He has  been co-operating in the design sector with many important Italian and foreign  companies in the furnishing, upholstery, lighting, furnishing fabrics, glasses,  ceramics and marble fields. 
   
  His  activity became the leading topic of many papers and articles on specialised  magazines as well as of three monographic studies. 
   He  works and lives in Milan.
